Practice diving in Bali is usually held out of Nusa Dua Ocean, so if you are staying in Kuta, Seminyak and Sanur areas, the transmit time will be longer. When the traffic is heavy on the bypass highway, it might take over 1 hour to get to Nusa Dua, but our Super Reasonable Diving is held in Sanur, so it has a great access from those areas and Ubud area which will take only about 75 minutes (a half of the time to go to Nusa Dua). It is important to consider locations due to the heavy traffics on all the main roads in Bali. You don’t want to waste your valuable time in Bali, do you?
The point is out of the Sanur Ocean which is 10 minutes away from Serangan Surf School by boat. They will leave the boat next to the Sea Walker’s one. The degree of the water in Sanur is much higher than one in Nusa Dua and it also has many tropical fishes. (*The clearness will change due to the rise and fall of the tides.)
You will enter the ocean using ladders from the boat. The depth is only 5 – 6m and the instructor will be guiding you under the water, so it will be a great beginner course. You will leave all the diving equipments on the surface of the ocean, so it is easy to get back on the boat.
You can use your time effectively, because the diving point, Serangan Island has a great access to Kuta, Seminyak and Ubud, so why don’t you enjoy shopping in Kuta, having a meal in Seminyak, sightseeing or safari park in Ubud after the diving! Experimenter #001 Jun (Age 25) Date: December 6th, 2011 Diving Experience: Once in Okinawa, Japan I tried the practice diving. It was 10 years ago when I had a first diving experience in Okinawa, Japan, so it was like my first diving experience to enjoy with many tropical fishes!!

After checking in, you will change into swimsuits. They have a big locker, so all the big luggage could be left there. The new changing room and toilet were clean. The water toilet was western style with toilet papers! The shower room which has shampoo and conditioners was also very nice. They offer free rental towels! Those services are great for women, aren’t they?

Putting on the wetsuits after changing into a swimwear! They check your size of feet for fins. It is recommended wearing a smaller size to prevent slipping off in the ocean.

The diving lesson is next after changing and preparations for the equipments. They taught me the hand signs of going up and down, ok, no, stay and so on, how to take a breath, clear ears and removing water from inside of the goggles. The instructors could speak Japanese which made me relieving. Taking the lesson seriously to prevent any accidents! I reviewed all the actions after the instructor.

The diving point is only 10 minutes by the speed boat. The sea breeze was very nice! On the boat, we put sinkers around the waist. Telling a lie about weight to be a matter of life or death, so I told them the truth LOL. The instructor put bread in the plastic bag into my wetsuits for feed of the fishes. Tropical fishes were everywhere under the water when we go to the point. He said the degree of the water clearness was the greatest!!!

We are all ready after putting down the ladders from the boat!!! It was difficult to make myself calm down from the excitement!!!! After putting a goggle and fins, taking the ladders to enter the ocean slowly. One of the instructors was waiting in the ocean to help putting the oxygen cylinder bottle. After going over the techniques with the oxygen mask, finally going under the water!!!
One instructor is taking care of 2 divers under the water. Going deep deep under the ocean! It was difficult to move the fins and take a breath at the beginning and my ears started hurting because of the water pressure. However, I started getting used to be under the ocean by clearing the ears repeatedly. Once I felt comfortable to enjoy, I was in the beautiful marine world.

The bottom of the ocean was very quiet and I could only hear the breathing sound of myself. It was mysterious. The fishes I have never seen before were swimming around. Fishes with yellow and black stripes!!! So Gorgeous! It seemed like they were saying “Let’s swim together!” Once I took out the bag of the bread, full of the fishes were around me! It was the greatest moment!! I could only see the fishes, but anything else.

The Photo shooting began (option with extra charge). They took many photos more than I expected. They gave me a sign of the gesture at the timing to take photos There were three photo spots, under the water with the fishes, the same point with Sea Walker and a coral spots. I could use the equipments well! Of course, I could see Nemo, clownfishes!!!! It made me feel I went diving! The instructor brought me a starfish, so took a photo with it! They can also shoot a movie!!!
		We were diving about for 25 minutes. I had the greatest time in the tropical ocean! On the way back on the boat, mineral water moisturized my body! Everyone, including me, couldn’t clam ourselves down on the boat, because the great view we saw under the water stayed in the minds which made us more excited after the diving! It was the greatest experience ever!

	After the diving, I was starving!!!! There were 3 choices of the lunch menus, Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng and Sandwiches. The sandwiches I had were a perfect amount of mayonnaise! It was so tasty, so I could ate them all soon! The amount of the dish was enough for me, but might not for men.

The Second Diving Experience! It made me worried to use unfamiliar equipments and feel uncomfortable under the water, but with the great help of the instructor, I could have the enjoyable moment in the ocean world! To be honest, I wasn’t expecting to see many fishes, because I couldn’t see many of them in my first diving experience. There were only a few including Nemo, clownfishes. However, it was different this time! Here in Serangan, Bali, you don’t have to worry about anything! They only have water shower, so it took awhile to get used to the temperature even though it was a hot summer day. Also, there weren’t many changing rooms, so we had to wait to use it for a while. In total, the diving was excellent!! I could only explain it using a popular advertising phrase, “the Palace of Dragon King is under the water!”, but this is all true!!!!! Why don’t you try to see if it is true or not with yourself?!

For women, bring cosmetics if you need. After the diving, all the make-ups will be gone! Think about your best pose for the photo shooting under the ocean!! Diving Original Breathing Style! Breathe from your mouth, not nose!

Experimenter #002 STAFF Yuu-Chan (Age 29) Date: December 6th, 2011 Diving Experience: Once in Okinawa, Japan Diving for the first time in 10 years!! Off to Serangan!! After 40 minutes of the driving by a driver with the orange uniform passing country roads, a bright orange building was in front of me!

	The tanned staffs with cheerful smiles welcomed me! They are all nice and some of them could speak Japanese, so I didn’t have to be worried about not being able to speak Indonesian or English! They explained each step of the diving with the pictures in the office which was still new. I have done diving only once 10 years ago, so the atmosphere of the staffs and the facilities made me less nervous.
		Let’s change into the wetsuits and go into the ocean soon!!! No, no! Take your time to learn how to use the equipments, the signs under the water and the important points. They explained me everything in Japanese. If you have any questions here, ask them until clearing all of them!
We took a small motorboat to the diving point which is next to Sea Walker. I jumped into the water from the boat!!! However, it wasn’t like the one we often see on TV “entering backwards”. I did it without the equipments, so put them on in the ocean. Of course, the instructors helped me putting them on!
		Going off under the water tropical fishes are waiting!! By using the weight of the sinkers around the waist, I went under the water slowly. It is important to clear the ears with the technique the instructor teaches. I should have listened to it more carefully!!! It was more difficult than I expected to move the body around and going forward under the water because of the flow of the tide. Also, the visual field was narrow and I could only see the front with the goggles on , so it was difficult to locate myself. However, you don’t need to be panicked! The instructor is always with you to guide you!
	A little trick to use the fins on the feet was necessary. You can move forward easily by moving the legs from the waist slowly. There were many fishes around the corals! You will find the ones you often see at the aquarium and the familiar one with yellow and black stripes. You can add an optional photo shooting plan as well. They put a data of the photos and movies into a CD, so it will be a great memory for the Bali holiday!!!
After the 30 minutes of the diving, we came back to the beach. All the equipments including the fins were taken off in the water. The time flied! When the instructor asked me that the diving was over, I was little sad to leave the beautiful ocean world which meant I was having such a great time, right? Even though there were small happenings under the water such as not being able to move the body around and losing a control because of the flow of the tide, a railing was under the water, so it was very helpful. Even though I let it go accidentally, the instructor was always by me like cuddling close together, so I always felt secure!


My first diving experience in Okinawa, Japan was 10 years ago, but I didn’t dive at the deep level of the ocean, so this Super Reasonable Diving was almost my first diving experience. I am not good at swimming and of course it was my first diving abroad, so I was little bit anxious at the beginning, but once it started, the anxiety didn’t even cross my mind! The courses under the water have been decided, so it is recommended for anyone who has no diving experiences and is not confident to dive but want to try! I went to the second diving point for the 2 diving plan by snorkeling, but the degree of the water clearness and the number of the fishes were much lower than the first one. Those might depend on the time, but I recommend the first diving point. The instructor leads you all the time, so it will be a great package for women, elderly people and anyone who is not confident with your physical strength. Enjoy the great moment with the tropical fishes!

Go to bed earlier to charge your energy the day before. Listen to all the explanations carefully! You can’t ask under the water orally. Bring some money to order extra dishes for a meal. The lunch might not enough after the diving. Bring sun block lotion! The sunshine on the boat is much stronger than you expect! Well prepared means no worries! Take medicine to prevent motion sickness if you tend to get sick on the boat.

Location	What is the difference between Tanjung Benoa and Serangan? ≪Location≫ Tanjung Benoa, the most popular marine sports area is located next to Nusa Dua area, and has many marine sports agencies which offer various types of the marine activities. Serangan Island is a small island on the side of Sanur area which is connected with a road from Bali Island. It has only one marine sports agency, so you can enjoy the activity in a private space. ≪Starting Time≫ Tanjung Benoa gets effect by the rise and fall of the tide, so depending on days and time, some activities would not be available or the amount of the time for the activity would be limited. One the other hand, Serangan does not get any effect because of the geographical feature, so you can enjoy the marine sports anytime you want!!
